Following an international trend to improve learning, an increasing number of Australian schools have begun to implement "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) schemes. Here at Kadina, we are always interested in being at the forefront of sound educational best practice, so in the best interest of our students, a BYOD policy is now offered.
Since technology plays such a huge role in students' everyday lives it should, therefore, be an integral part of their learning. Most schools, today, find it financially unsustainable to provide all students with state-of-the-art technology. BYOD represents an attractive, cost-effective alternative; recognising that many students already own devices that are appropriate for 21st Century learning.
It is an expectation that all Kadina students will embrace BYOD now and into the future.
