The Rivers Dance Ensemble Audition

Your child is being offered the opportunity to audition for The Rivers Dance Ensemble, established by The Rivers P-12 Learning Community. Successful applicants will be exposed to a range of learning and performance opportunities through ongoing Dance workshops and rehearsals.  

Background

Miss Laura Zappia is a NSW Department of Education qualified Dance teacher with industry experience in film, television and musical theatre. She will be designing and teaching a selected group of gifted and talented students in weekly lessons. Members of The Rivers Dance Ensemble will have the opportunity to extend their knowledge and capabilities in Dance as an art form.

Outcomes

•       Expand and refine performance technique for experienced and gifted students

•       Promote an inclusive and enjoyable practical experience to encourage participation levels in physical activity through Dance.

•       Learn about the complexity of Dance as an art form through the NSW Board of Studies Dance Curriculum

•       Have the opportunity to perform as an elite ensemble for various school assemblies and potential local community events.
